Macerite series
Our original machinable ceramics (ceramics with excellent machining characteristics). The Macerite lineup includes ET, SP, HSP mica based products, as well as Macerite PN, a boron nitride based formulation. The excellent machining characteristics of these products allows creation of complex shapes and micron-order accuracy.
Macerite-ET
Material with excellent thermal shock strength and low thermal expansion.
Excellent light reflectance with high degree of whiteness, Macerite-ET has been widely used in reflectors in various fields including YAG laser oscillators.
Macerite-SP
Inexpensive, general-grade material in the Macerite series. Suitable for large parts.
Macerite-HSP
HIP processed Macerite-SP. An optimum material for fine machining because of its pore-less characteristics.
Macerite-PN
High strength material suitable for precision machining. The low coefficient of thermal expansion approaches that of silicon.
